Background & context

Wellingtons Fußvolk bei Waterloo war kein rein britisches Heer. Neben den Linienregimentern standen die Foot Guards, die den Gutshof Hougoumont hielten, und die King's German Legion, hannoversche Berufssoldaten in britischem Sold. Deren leichtes Bataillon verteidigte La Haye Sainte bis zur letzten Patrone und fiel erst, als die Munition ausging - ein Verlust, der Wellingtons Mitte für Stunden gefährdete.

On the tabletop

Paint the eight strips of infantry as British line regiments, Foot Guards or the King's German Legion; two strips of riflemen, a Royal Artillery 9-pounder and a mounted brigade commander complete the frame. For Black Powder in 13.5 mm that is enough to expand Wellington's army at Waterloo, for example with the Guards of Hougoumont or the Legion at La Haye Sainte. The riflemen skirmish ahead of the line, and bases are sold separately.
