    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

As a photo reconnaissance aircraft the PR.XVI flew without any armament and relied on altitude and speed alone. From 142 parts you build it in 1:72 with one of two markings: a South African squadron in Italy in January 1945 or an American squadron at Watton in Norfolk in September 1944. In the cabinet, next to bombers and fighters of the same period, it represents the reconnaissance work whose photographs preceded many Allied operations.
