Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

The PBY-5A is the amphibian version of the Catalina: with its retractable undercarriage it could take off from water as well as from runways. In 1:72 the 128 parts make a model with a 438 mm wingspan that needs a fair amount of room in your cabinet. You are building a flying boat that hunted U-boats, protected convoys and pulled survivors from the sea in the Second World War. In a diorama it suits a coastline, a harbour or an island airstrip in the Pacific.
