    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

The H version is recognisable by its Emerson nose turret, which from 1943 gave the Liberator better protection against head-on attacks by German fighters. Airfix supplies the bomber in 1:72 with 278 parts, and the finished model spans 46 centimetres. You choose between Corky Burgundy Bombers from Old Buckenham in Norfolk and Valiant Lady from Venosa in Italy, both from 1944. As a display model or in an airfield diorama it shows the USAAF heavy bomber in the air offensive over Europe.
