Product details

Background & context

In France in 1944 the Commonwealth had a reconnaissance problem: Totenkorps lie still among the fallen and only rise once the front has moved on and nothing but supply columns and staffs are within reach. Ordinary guard dogs did give the alarm, but went berserk near the undead. The controversial scientist William Sargant then pushed through a programme that removes the fear instinct from dogs surgically and chemically. The result is the Cerberus units, which are effective and, in some regiments, unwelcome to this day.

On the tabletop

For the Commonwealth forces in Konflikt '47 the Cerberus dogs sniff out Totenkorps lying among the fallen, waiting to rise behind the front. Surgery and chemicals have taken away the animals' fear, so they do not panic near the undead. You send them towards villages, fields and woods where your opponent may hide Totenkorps. One handler and three metal war dogs make up the unit.
