Background & context

On the tabletop

This sheet of waterslide transfers puts designs on the shields of your Gallic warriors without painting every pattern freehand. Cut out the design, soak it briefly in water, slide it onto the painted shield and let it dry. That gives a Hail Caesar warband matching emblems, of the kind that showed a Celt's tribe and retinue.
