Product details

Background & context

In 1939 the British Expeditionary Force moved to France as the only fully motorised army in Europe: small, well trained and far too thin for a long war. Its anti-tank defence consisted of 2-pounders, and its infantry tanks were toughly armoured but painfully slow. After the German breakthrough at Sedan only the retreat to the coast remained, and from Dunkirk over 300,000 men made the crossing without their heavy equipment.

On the tabletop

Battlefront made these twenty six-sided dice in a British design for Flames of War, intended for armies of the years 1939 to 1941. With this many dice you can roll the shooting of an entire platoon in one go. On the table they keep your pool clearly apart from your opponent's, for example when your Expeditionary Force stands in France in 1940. They work just as well in any other game that uses D6.
