Background & context

Hinter jeder britischen Division fuhr eine Kolonne solcher General-Service-Lastwagen: Munition, Verpflegung, Sprit, Verwundete. Der 4-Tonner mit Allradantrieb kam dort durch, wo reine Straßenfahrzeuge steckenblieben, und gehörte damit zum Alltag jeder Nachschubkolonne. Auf dem Spieltisch steht er selten im Feuergefecht, dafür in Nachschubszenen, an Straßensperren und als lohnendes Ziel, dessen Verlust eine Kompanie lahmlegt.

On the tabletop

The British Army relied on this four-wheel-drive 4-tonner for almost four decades, including the Cold War. The 1:76 kit has 25 parts and suits your first steps in vehicle building, and the decal sheet offers three sets of markings. In a diorama the truck can drive in a supply column, wait at a roadblock or be loaded at a depot. Together with other post-war British vehicles in 1:76 it builds up a transport fleet behind the front.
