    Product details

    Background & context

    On the tabletop

The Defiant was the RAF's only turret fighter: instead of fixed forward guns it carried a turret with four machine guns. After heavy losses by day it switched to night operations. The 1:72 kit has 70 parts, is aimed at beginners and includes two sets of markings, among them an aircraft of No. 264 Squadron from the Battle of Britain. In a collection devoted to the summer of 1940 it adds an unusual design to the Spitfire and Hurricane.
