Product details

Background & context

On the tabletop

The small metal frame holds four knitted bonnets, the blue cap of Scottish soldiers in the 17th century. They turn individual Pike & Shotte figures into Covenanters or soldiers of Scottish government armies, and Royalist troops from the north such as Newcastle's were issued them too. Four heads are enough for a command group or a few musketeers. Pick out the ribbons on the side in a contrasting colour when painting.
