    Product details

    Background & context

The United States Marine Corps was one of the most deployed US units in the Vietnam War from 1965 onwards, particularly in the coastal regions and in the north of South Vietnam. The figures wear typical Vietnam-era equipment with various carrying systems and pouches, as issued from the mid-1960s. The M72 LAW was a lightweight, disposable anti-tank weapon routinely carried by US infantrymen. The kit captures the character of this elite infantry in jungle warfare.

    On the tabletop

Five identical sprues and one command sprue give you 30 Marines for Vietnam, enough for a platoon with a command group. With the M72 LAW individual riflemen can take on bunkers and light vehicles, and you choose the other weapons during assembly. Varied webbing and pouches make every section look different. Fitting battles are the fights in the northern provinces from 1965, for example around Khe Sanh or in the streets of Hue.
