    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The M39 series was the most important heavy truck family used by the US Army and US Marine Corps during the Vietnam War. The M54 was the standard cargo version of this series. In addition to the Army and Marines, the US Navy, US Air Force, and ARVN forces also used vehicles from this family. As a 5-ton 6x6 truck, the M54A2 combined high transport capacity with off-road capability for resupply and transport tasks.
