    The M274 Mule was a light utility platform truck of the US Armed Forces and was particularly used in the Vietnam War as a versatile transport and and weapon platform. The vehicle could be equipped with various weapons, including M60 machine guns and M2HB .50 caliber machine guns. Due to its flat, simple design, it was suitable for transporting ammunition, supplies, and light equipment. In Vietnam, the Mule was valued as a compact work vehicle in more difficult terrain.
