Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Panzerkampfwagen VI Tiger was one of the heaviest and most feared combat tanks of the Wehrmacht from 1942 onwards. Its thick armour was almost impenetrable for most Allied anti-tank weapons, while its 8.8cm cannon knocked out enemy tanks at long range. In the late-war period, the Tiger became a symbol of German tank power on the Eastern and Western Fronts.
