Conversion kit for the Kübelwagen into a radio vehicle with resin crew - transforms the standard Kübelwagen Type 82 (Rubicon SKU 280072, sold separately) into a functional staff vehicle with a radio operator and associated radio equipment. An essential detail for realistic command posts on the tabletop - from the Afrika Korps to the Eastern Front.

Hintergrund & Einordnung

The Kübelwagen Type 82 - based on the civilian Volkswagen Type 62 / Beetle and designed by Ferdinand Porsche - served the Wehrmacht in countless variants as a standard light vehicle. "Kübelwagen" is a short form of "Kübelsitzwagen" and refers to all light military vehicles without doors that have bucket seats, which were intended to prevent occupants from falling out. Radio-equipped Kübelwagens were indispensable for communication between command staffs and front-line units on all theatres of war - from North Africa to the Eastern Front to Western Europe. With its typical antenna mast and Fu.Spr.f radio equipment, the simple reconnaissance vehicle transformed into a mobile communication centre that connected reconnaissance, staff and command units.

Einsatz im Spiel

The Kübelwagen as a radio vehicle is the typical staff car for HQ elements in Bolt Action. As a conversion kit, it fits existing Rubicon Kübelwagen kits and visually enhances command staff setups. On the tabletop, it serves as a vehicle for officers and commanders or as an objective model in scenarios.
