    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Bersaglieri were considered elite infantry of the Italian army, known for their high mobility and morale. During World War II, they were deployed on almost all Italian theaters of war - from North Africa to the Eastern Front, and in the defense of the peninsula itself. The Austrian-Swiss Solothurn anti-tank rifle, with its wheeled carriage and high rate of fire, was a unique anti-tank weapon. The Brixia light mortar surpassed comparable weapons of other armed forces in terms of rate of fire and precision and was a valued means of direct infantry support.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    Weapon Teams add tactical depth to a Bolt Action army, forcing the enemy to spread their attention across multiple threat sources simultaneously. The Sniper team pins down enemy units and forces them into cover, the Solothurn team puts pressure on light armored vehicles and half-tracks, and the Brixia light mortar clears entrenched infantry from cover positions. Together, the three teams form a compact, versatile support base for North Africa, Eastern Front, and Mediterranean scenarios.
