Hintergrund & Einordnung

Repulsorlift-Technik aus der Rift-Forschung erlaubt es einem Mann, in weiten Sprüngen über das Gefechtsfeld zu setzen oder einen Absprung selbst zu steuern. Die US Army hat daraus keine neue Waffengattung gemacht, sondern ihre Airborne umgebaut: Aus den Fallschirmjägern von 1944 wurden die Fireflies. Die Ausbildung überstehen nur wenige, und die Aufträge, die danach folgen, gehören zu den riskantesten, die das amerikanische Heer 1947 vergibt. Gepanzert sind diese Männer dabei nicht.

Einsatz im Spiel

Firefly Airborne Infantry is the standard choice for US Airborne lists in Konflikt '47. The 18-man box is enough for a complete Airborne squad with options for M1X Thompson Rift SMGs, flamethrowers and anti-tank rocket launchers. Model building variant: Legs can be built either flying (Jump Pack active) or on the ground, covering both playable phases. In the game, Fireflies are faster than regular infantry and can jump over obstacles thanks to their Jump Pack.
