    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    After the heavy defeats at Dunkirk and Singapore, Great Britain fundamentally reformed its armed forces. From 1943, British and Canadian units fought in Italy, then in Normandy, and finally into the heart of Germany. The Tommies developed into a battle-hardened, versatile force that excelled in close combat as well as in combined operations with vehicles and heavy weapons. Canadian units played a particularly important role in this, for example, during the Normandy landings and the fighting for the Scheldt estuary.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The starter army immediately provides a playable, balanced platoon for Bolt Action. The 36 infantrymen form two to three squads, supplemented by the MMG team for suppression fire and the mortar for indirect fire from behind cover. The 6-pounder anti-tank gun secures the flanks against enemy vehicles, while the Universal Carrier acts as a fast transport or scout. The Churchill is flexible, with seven build options - from infantry tank to assault variant - and gives the army a strong backbone in attack and defense.
