    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    Norman farmsteads rarely consisted of just one dwelling, but frequently comprised residential, stable, and utility buildings. In the summer of 1944, such farm groups became natural strongpoints because they combined cover, concealment, and controlled access. Especially in the Bocage landscape, smaller homesteads could significantly slow down an advance. The set accurately reflects this farmstead character, making it appear more coherent than a single, isolated building.

    Einsatz im Spiel

    The three-part Homestead is suitable as a small farm complex that can be captured, held, or used as a waypoint. The main building offers space for an infantry squad, while the outbuildings create additional cover, flanking positions, and line-of-sight blockers. For Normandy battles, the set is particularly useful because it forms a coherent rural position with multiple tactical access points.
