    Hintergrund & Einordnung

    The Panzer II was one of the most common German tanks at the beginning of the war. Although designed as an interim solution, it played an important role in Poland, France, and North Africa. Its 20mm cannon was insufficient against later tanks but remained useful for reconnaissance and secondary fronts. By 1942, it was gradually phased out of its front-line role.

    The Panzer II Ausf. A/B/C/F is a light tank in the game designed for reconnaissance, flank protection, and early-war scenarios. Its 20mm cannon is effective against infantry and light vehicles but weak against medium tanks. It should leverage its mobility, cover, and mission pressure rather than engaging in head-on combat. In Bolt Action and Chain of Command, it's a cost-effective addition to German Early War lists.
